Update 7/18/19: My club still uses the flag but we’re now called Cabal Fang Temple, and we’re a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational charity. Visit our website or purchase our 12-week personal growth program at Smashwords, Amazon, B&N, or wherever fine e-books are sold.
When I founded the martial art of Cabal Fang back in 2008, and then started the Order of Seven Hills martial arts club in 2009, I did it because I thought my martial art could change the world. I still do.
Sound crazy? It ain’t. Don’t believe me? Watch this video.
Happy New Year!

I agree 100% with your statement pertaining to owning personal responsibility, however, on my personal inward alchemical path, I have discovered that there are actually many global problems which require more than one individual to be solved. If I could single handedly end all war, I simply would, but this accomplishment would require all those who I refer to as Order Followers, withdrawing their granted authority from those who abuse it. Taming my personal dragon has not tamed others whose dragons rule over them. Please understand that I am not attacking your position, I rather enjoy those few who buck the system, I am addressing that there are other dragons than our own to be tamed, with seemingly no desire to do so. I am at that point in my path whereas I am a bit daunted by the recognition that my personal dominion exist only in an ocean of others willful subjectivity.
I understand what you’re saying. The problems we face are myriad, troubling and complex. And in true Socratic fashion, all I can say is “All I know is that I know nothing.” I haven’t a clue how we’re going to avert a scorched earth, stop overpopulation from destroying biodiversity, etc. But I do know that I can work on myself and I can encourage others to do the same. The sense of energy and liberation I get from this method of operation can be described as salvation — different religions have different names for this “sweet spot” but I suspect that this is what they’re all speaking of. Whatever happens, we are going to get the outcome that our species deserves, that’s for sure. Thanks so much for stopping by, for sharing my stuff, and for participating. I sincerely wish you success in The Work!
You have certainly encouraged me, so in that respect you are successful. I am driven to inspire and encourage others also, but I am “newly born” so to speak, and I feel a bit as though I have 10,000 hearts of passion, and but one mind which “All that it knows is that it knows nothing”… In the face of those like yourself and Mark Passio, I just ask myself “Who am I to instruct others?”, and “I possess only a very small fraction of this information…”
I call it the Numinous, or apprehension of the Numen. and I also believe that many religions possess it, or at least began in pursuit of it, until nation states came along to produce monetized institutions of indoctrination of them. I see the genuine essence in your words, and that is why I observe and share your insights. Honor to you and yours.
